Focus On The Road, Not The Phone Call [PhysOrg] Yet more real-world evidence that driving and cell phones are not a safe combination. A study from the University of Illinois examined seven years of driving data to conclude that statewide cell phone bans (prohibitions on gabbing while driving) led to significantly fewer accidents on busy urban roads. Based on the findings, the study authors recommend that cells be banned in densely-populated regions. (Need another reason to put the phone down?
